It has been some time since I last blogged. Been busy lately juggling working at dad's office and managing San Street. But am getting used to the work at dad's. It has been officially 3 months (started work there on 8th Aug).
Business has been very quiet. Quite depressing looking at the sales, that at times I don't want to look at it. But how not to look? Sigh!!! It's already November. Christmas is drawing nearer. Hopefully sales will pick up soon. The production of ThreeThirty christian tees is being delayed again. Been facing a lot of issues with the printers and have been changing from 1 printer to another. Delayed for months already. Since July. Parents not really happy about the progress and wants to call off the whole thing with ThreeThirty. Better come out before Christmas.
Late last month, FT said that the doc said that her ex-husband who got involved in a motorcycle accident chances of survival is very slim (1 week at most) and would like to leave early for a few weeks just in case anything happens to him. Tried ways to find someone to cover her for a few hrs a day. Manage to get a previous FT to help cover a couple of hrs a day but as he's currently working FT elsewhere, his boss only gave him a couple of weeks. The last I heard fr FT is that her ex-husband is out of ICU but still not very stable. Not only have I given her a couple of hrs leave every day for the last couple weeks, have also shifted her off day so that she can have 2 days off this week to go for a short getaway trip in batam, she still can call me on monday morning to ask for urgent leave to attend to something. Today is the 3rd day she has not come to work already. Her work attitude is giving my parents and me the impression that she is taking things for granted and not interested to work. That's the reason why my parents didn't want to let her come back to work when she sms-ed me in late Sept to ask if she can come back. But couldn't find anyone better then. Sigh!!!
Super tired and stressed with all the things that have been going on. But I believe all things shall work for the good to those who love Him to those who are called according to His purpose. Rom 8:28
Starting the last week of November (28th) till CNY eve will be needing 2 people in the shop on weekdays and 3 people in the shop on weekends. Distant cousin can help out on weekends and 1/2 days on Wednesdays and Fridays. Another 1 of my PT can help on weekends. With distant cousin and PT help there's no problem for weekends unless any 1 of them can't make it. Thought of finding another PT to help out on mondays, tuesdays and thursdays. But from past year experiences, PT not only cannot commit the whole period, they also tend to inform last min that they can't make it. Making last min scheduling really difficult and lotsa appts has to be cancelled because of this. Plus I'm also working at dad's. After much thought, decided to qing zi chu ma on those days. Plus FT staff will need off day too. Can't possibility get her to work 7 days a week for the 8 whole weeks. After much planning, it is finalised that I'll be in the shop full day on Wednesdays (when FT will go off) and 1/2 days on mondays, tuesdays and thursdays. Distant cousin will come in 1/2 day on Wednesdays and Fridays and full day on weekends while PT will come in 1/2 day on weekends. That will means that I'll be working from 8.30am to 9.30pm (or later depending on crowd) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays as I'll still need to work in dad's office on weekdays minus one day off to work in the shop. The busier periods in office is usually beginning and end of the month, wonder if it's possible to go to office lesser during the festive period. Otherwise it is going to be really tiring and in need for divine strength esp for this period. Keep me in prayer!
Last weekend of October which was my bday weekend was really enjoyable. Thanks to Agnes, Yuki and W525. Went to USS Horror Night after work on my bday itself with some friends and they celebrated my bday there with a cake. So sweet of them. :D Met Mediacorp Romeo Tan at the entrance before leaving USS. On Saturday went to JW in the morning to helped out at JAMs church. It was pretty fun. Then followed by church service and down to downtown east for Alvin's chalet with W525 where the cg celebrated Alvin's and my bday with 2 cakes. Unexpected! Thanks W525! :D Sunday was another day of celebration at Kbox with Agnes, Yuki and Liang Ting followed by dinner at Figos Grail (the cafe opened by Zhou Chongqing). Jian Mei (who's also attending CHC) joined us there. All the food and drinks we ordered were recommended by Figos supervisor Patrick. Boss Kit gave 10% off our bill and the drinks specially made by Patrick were on-the-house. Specially for my bday! So nice of him! :D The cafe is located at Tanjong Katong. It's so far else I'll go there more often. Will still go back there when I've got the time. Maybe with W525 for fellowship. Supervisor Patrick, Boss Kit and some of the crew at Figos are in my friends list on facebook. Really thankfully to be able to enjoy myself for a few days before the busyness of the festive season kicks in.
2 more weeks before the busyness really kicks in. Gotta recharged myself for the busy 8 weeks that is to come. Have taken a break from Attributes until after CNY. Will be going for both Michelle Chong's movie gala premiere on 22nd November and Elvin Ng's private gathering on 18th December together with some friends. Other than these 2 events, going to give all other gatherings/events a miss. Service and CG will definitely still go unless I'm really needed in the shop.
