28th July 2008

After reading a couple of my previous blog entries, I find that my english is becoming more and more broken. Must be talking too much with those ITE xiao dis dis and xiao meis meis who frequent the shop, thus my english is becoming more and more like them. But there are our regular customers, so got to have casual chat with them rather than merely serving them.

After such a long time, this weekend sales can be considered rather good. Another round of the boring weekdays is starting soon....in another 10 more hours. Often I don't even want to go to Suntec to open shop. It's so so so so sian in suntec. The staffs/tenants in MPG is even more than the people walking around there.

As we sit in the shop waiting for customers to come, watching the hours tick by,our motivation level drops slowly but surely. The shops in MPG are already starting to open late and closing early. Coz there's no body, shop open also no used. Might as well close then shop, cut cost and also have a bit more time to rest. MPG is turning into to a 'ghost town'. I am really sian with that place now. Another 1 month and 1 week left there. Really can't wait to shift out of there asap.

25th July 2008

This week a couple of reporters have been coming down to MPG at different occassions to interview the tenants in the area. Coz recently someone posted up the "New youth shopping area in Suntec a 'ghost town'" article in stomp.com.sg.
(http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/viewContent.jsp?id=28528). Suntec may think that we are the ones who ask the reporters to come down. Though the truth is we did not.

Suntec is really like a ghost town. With so many shops closing down, less and less people are coming up to level 3. The 'crowd' in suntec is getting from bad to worse. Like that how to do business. Really can't wait to get out of this place. Can't wait to shift to far east and bugis. My parents say if 1 year after shifting to far east and bugis, business in San Street still cannot make it, I will then have to go and work somewhere else instead. Sigh... I really don't want to. Pray hard that business will pick up.

Today closed the shop for the day once again. Woke up later than usual. Did some accounts and then went down to bugis junction with mum and sis to shop. Bought some bottoms for myself (both pants and skirts). Been a long time since I went out to shop. Have been 'shopping' in the neighbouring shops in MPG lately. Tomorrow will be another day in suntec. Another boring day. But we will just do our best and put the rest in God's hands. Jia you le!!! Gambatte Ne!!!

Careless weekend...

The reason I changed my add is coz I've been using the username "sandyonfire" to log in to many places and a lot of people know that. As such to prevent just anyone to read my blog, I had to change my blog add to something else.

Whether or not people read my blog doesn't matter. I will just blog anyways.

I keep losing things last weekend. 1st my POSB ATM card on sat and then my mobile phone on sun. While I was searching ard for my mobile phone, I actually found my ATM card. But I've already cancelled the card the day before. DAMN. Had to go get myself any ATM card from the bank which I did on mon. This is the 2nd time I lost my mobile phone this year. Within just 4 months. How careless of me.

Nothing much to talk about Suntec now. Getting really bored with that place. The more I stay in Suntec, the more discouraged I get. Can't wait to shift out of there and into Far East and Bugis. Another bubble tea shop opened in suntec on the same level as our shop. It's called rockery. Tried it. But I think Cup Walker on level 1 is much much better. The proportion of pearls they give are much more also. Cup Walker rules the bubble tea market!!!!

11th July 2008

It seems that suntec has no tenant to take over the place as yet. Whether or not they are taking back the place or not, we are going to shift out of here. We can't stay here any more. It's driving us crazy. No crowd here at all. Ghost town. When people heard that our shop is at suntec, they say it is a good place. Yea right....good place....but only for level 1 & 2. NOT level 3. We are even closing every thursdays now so as to cut cost.

We'll be shifting to far east sometime in sept after the current tenant shift out of there at the end of aug. Bugis Iluma has now been confirmed. The mall should be ready ard oct/nov. So we will shift in ard then. Renovation can be done within a week or 2.

5th July 2008

With the current situation at MPG of suntec, it is a must for us to shift out of there. We 1st entered suntec with high hopes; now ended up with great disappointment of that place. We have let the suntec mgmt know of our intention to shift out by Sept of this year. They want to take back all the units at the back of MPG (including ours) anyways. Suntec CEO will be having another meeting with my dad. Pray hard that they will let us shift out without us having to pay any compensation. Far east shop is opening sometime in Sept. While Bugis Iluma shop will only open when the mall there is completed and our renovation is done. Most probably in Nov.

Went for service today. Younger sis took the car so I had to take taxi/bus to & from church. Younger sis will be taking the car every weekend. So I guess its down to the taxi/bus for me on weekends till she returns back to London. Whatever it is. Doesn't matter how I can get to church. The most impt thing is that I can go for service. It's great to be back again. Miss the atmosphere so so so so much. Pst Mike Connell service is great. He preached on disappointment just when I am having great disappointment in MPG. But I have already placed the situation in suntec into God's hands a few days ago.

Intially I felt that I'll be a failure if San Street were to shift out of Suntec. But now I don't feel that way anymore. Those were just negative thoughts that he devil has placed in me. I've decided to let go and let God. If the only way is to shift out of suntec then we shall shift. It's not as if San Street will disappear forever. San Street will still be around. It will just be located in some other locations. God knows what's best.

My parents says that if we are still not making money after entering Far East and Bugis, I will be have to go out and work some where else. Pray hard that Far East and Bugis will be a success. I believe it will be. Those 2 places are afterall still way way way better than suntec MPG. I can do it...through Christ who strengthens me. Lord, I trust in You to guide me in the steps I should take.<p>
