Been 2 weeks since I last blogged.

Our china staff's work permit cannot be renewed. She is cfm leaving Singapore end of this mth (airtix has been booked for the 28th). She's our longest working employee...been working for us since the last week of March 2008 until now...that's almost 3 years.

We got a temporary staff to work in far east plaza for 1 mth when our china staff left while the local full timer works in bugis iluma outlet until the contract there ends end of March. Heard that the shops on the same level as us in Iluma (except Recoil, Bella Kini and Uneven) are shifting out of here. This place is a dead town but better than suntec. Yet the sales of our current staffs there are all much much much better than some previous staff (I'm not referring to any1 in particular. There are actually quite a few of them) as they are all active in approaching and serving customers.

It's been so quiet after CNY in both far east and bugis iluma outlets. Currently we are clearing our old stocks in bugis iluma outlet (UP TO 70% off) until end of March when our contract there ends. So many old stocks to clear. Headache!!! In the past, we are rather naive on what kinda stocks to bring in and whatever suppliers push to us we just take. Ended up we have lotsa stocks and a lots of them got stuck as a result. But now knowing customers' taste and preference we've become wiser in choosing the type and qty of stocks that we bring in. Right now we don't have as much dead stocks as compared to those really really old ones (2008/2009). Our recent stocks have been running out fast esp after CNY. A lot of stocks are out of the sizes customers want. Just when we are thinking how to clear the old stocks (which is our biggest worry), John Little emailed me asking if I am interested to join in their expo events. They have got 6 expo events this year. Going to meet up with the rep on thursday to discuss more. We've always heard that having sales in expo is good but don't know how to go about doing it as the space area in expo is huge unless we share.

Found a new supplier whom we can source U.S/Korean branded products (mostly U.S) from. We are going to sell them at factory outlet price which is the same price he is selling them at his shop :) One of our supplier is going to supply us with more shoes. Canvas shoes to be exact. Thinking of opening up an outlet in bugis street to sell mainly shoes. Looking out for other suppliers too. Most prob will travel overseas more often this year to look for and bring in more stocks.

Not feeling too well...blogging in bed.....

Both outlets were pretty competitive during this CNY. Ultimate winner is still Far East! We had 4 figures sales in each outlet on weekends and on those few days before we closed for CNY. Far East & iluma sales combined for Jan this year managed to beat Jan 2010's total sales for far east and iluma combined by around 10k++. We even went way past Jan 2010's sales for far east, bugis and suntec combined. They were a number of customers who were attributes get more cardholders as well. :) Far East outlet has resumed business today. Bugis will resume on tmr when staff is back from his hols.

Went to Alor Star on the 1st Feb early morning and came back on the 4th Feb evening. Didn't do much there except visiting, eating and watching tv. Ang Bao collected are all in ringgit except for an ang bao from an aunt. She gave us SGD. :) My cousins gambled $1/$2 while playing blackjack with mum (mum being the banker). I didn't join them to gamble. Just sat there watching them while snacking on those new year goodies. The night b4 returning back to Singapore was alr. not feeling too well - slight giddiness. Then started feeling feverish in the morning. Slight fever came when I was on the flight back. Was shivering and very restless throughout the 1hr flight back. And then was having bad diarrahaeo until today. Couldn't really sleep the whole night. Was shivering and woke up every hour to go to the toilet. Diarrahaeo continued all the way. Whatever I eat/drink will just come out. Tummy feels so empty but dare not eat much. Much better now although am still feeling giddy and stomach's still churning (don't like that feeling). Been popping po chai pills. Finished the whole box of po chai. Heard that 1 of my cousin had the same symptoms. She went to the doc and was told it was food poisoning. Wonder what was it that we ate. Every1 else in the family all ate the same thing but only me and 1 cousin kena food poisoning. But her condition is worse than me. When will this diarrehaeo stop? So xin ku. Have to miss svc today because of this. Whatsmore the computers at home don't let me log in to watch svc online. :( :( Supposed to go back to serve in Attributes today after the 1 mth++ break I took during the Christmas-CNY period. But can't. :( :( Feel even more tired now before taking a break from work.
