It's been abt a mth since I last blogged. Ever since after CNY, we haven't been receiving any new catalouges/products fr our franchiser in KL. Almost 4 mths has passed without any new stocks. Find this kinda strange as usually there will be new catalouge every 2 mths or so. Flew down to KL with mum during Good Friday long weekend to check out the franchiser's shop if there are any new products that they didn't give us and to look for potential suppliers/maufacturers. It turned out that there's really no new stock there. Looks like their business isn't doing well too. Otherwise why no new stocks? Also managed to meet up with new suppliers. My cousins introduced us to their friend who's a wholesaler of fashion apparel products in KL. Ordered some new products from them and also bought some display fixtures to display our shoes. Also got to meet up with a previous supplier who's supportive of being our manufacturer for a range of products we intended to sell. I can say that the 2D2N in KL has been rather fruitful. :) Intending to cut down on our product range and focus more on fashion products rather than street wear products. Thus will slowly be cutting down the products that we're getting from our franchiser which are not selling well. Getting the more sellable "brands" from them.

Rented a kiosk outlet in 313@Somerset for a short term period of 3 mths (May to July 2011). The kiosk is located on level 1 of 313 near the MRT entrance/exit. The opening of the kiosk was supposed to be on this friday, 6th May, but till to some mgmt issues that 313 have yet to settle, all kiosks there will only open on 16th May tentatively. There will be a total of 6 kiosks on level 1 of 313. All selling different products. They will be located there until Feb 2012. Going to try out for 3 mths 1st. If sales there is good, we will extend the rental there but will have to inform the mgmt in the 1st mth else they'll have the kiosk rented out to others. As there won't be any fitting room, we'll only be selling shoes and maybe some bags and tops there.

Have also signed a rental contract to rent a booth at Expo Hall 8 for wholesale purpose. The whole hall will be rented out to different vendors for wholesale purposes and will be in Expo Hall 8 till July 2013. After which, they will shift to Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre which is just behind my house. Will be trying out for 1yr 1st. Starting mid/end June there.

Intially thought that after closing Iluma outlet, will only need to manage Far East Plaza outlet. But seems like God has other plans for San Street. We'll be going into something new...something we've never done before....and that is wholesale. A new beginning for San Street. Pray hard that all will work out.
